Meet the Team

The_Chicane_Club_06751.jpg

Greg is a lifelong racer and motorsports purist. He grew up bleeding Ferrari red and uttered his first word - “car” - while watching the Indy 500. After graduating from Penn State with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, he’s worked tirelessly in professional motorsports, having engineered and strategized his teams to countless wins and world championship titles in Ferrari Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, IMSA’s Prototype Challenge, the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, the Creventic 24H Series, and more. He launched SimMetric Labs in 2018, bringing a professional sim racing lab on the road to IMSA, Indycar, and USF Pro Championship races all over the country to support real racers in finding an edge over their competition when thousandths of a second can make or break a driver’s career.

Greg developed The Chicane Club to provide the most authentic motorsports experience for enthusiasts and the ultimate performance development tool for real racers. At The Club, you'll find Greg overseeing all business operations, with his favorite role being every driver's dedicated engineer, coach, and strategist - the very same role he held on the professional teams he's worked on in the past. Greg wishes to one day drive himself in IMSA in GT3 or LMP machinery, with the ultimate goal of winning endurance racing's triple crown - the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“We all know that the gap between real and virtual racing is continuously diminishing as technologies between the two further synergize. We built The Chicane Club to allow our members to experience that forefront with absolutely no barrier to entry and zero risk if (when!) things go wrong. Whether you're new to racing or are a seasoned pro, we've built The Chicane Club to be your ultimate resource in going faster - all with vastly more control than what you'll ever have in real racing."

The first grandson to famous South Florida sports team icon, H. Wayne Huizenga Sr., and older brother to Gerritt, Wayne is a diehard automotive, motorsports, and simulation enthusiast. Having grown up playing every racing game available and always pushing the limits both on the road and off, Wayne was going fast long before he had a driver's license. On a day-to-day basis, Wayne is the CEO of South Wake Capital, a private equity firm based in West Palm Beach, but seizes every opportunity to get up to The Club and get racing. Wayne works closely with Greg and Gerritt to continue the business development of The Chicane Club at both a micro and macro level. Wayne aspires to one day own a professional racing team he races on himself, as well as one day building a professional racing circuit in South FL.

"Greg and I met in 2021 and we quickly found we shared a lot of the same passions for motorsports and driving simulation, while we both brought the perfect complimenting set of skills, experiences, and resources together to build something like The Chicane Club. We've now built something entirely new in the motorsports simulations space - and we plan to continue growing it to a scale far beyond what we have today."

Gerritt is a 25 year old sim enthusiast with a long-burning passion for car culture. His love for racing began at a young age with go karting and quickly spread to anything with an engine and four wheels. Gerritt quickly fell in love with drifting, rally, and touge. He wanted to find something that felt as real and exciting as it did to race off-road in the mountains without having to leave the state, so he bought his first sim. He picked up sim racing a few years ago and has been perfecting his craft ever since. 2023 was Gerritt's first year driving on real circuits, under Greg's close tutelage.

You'll find Gerritt operating all of the simulation equipment and handling all IT needs at The Club. Gerritt aspires to one day earn his very own Rolex Daytona watch by winning the Daytona 24 in GT3 machinery. “Being able to learn on & operate the equipment at The Chicane Club made me realize the huge difference between the consumer-level sims we play on at home and the motorsports-grade sims we train on here. I’ve been able to put in enough hours on our sims here to feel confident on my first laps at real tracks and have now experienced first-hand how similar our track & car models feel to the real thing!

Nelson is a passionate sim racer, content creator, and lifelong motorsport enthusiast. His journey began with a camera in hand, capturing the energy of the track and turning raw moments into compelling visual stories. Over time, that passion evolved beyond the lens—into the racing simulator’s, where the adrenaline of racing came alive in a whole new way. Whether he's editing race footage, designing overlays, or going wheel-to-wheel in a virtual GT3 car, Nelson brings the same intensity and creativity to every lap and every project. He believes in the power of storytelling through motion and visuals, and he’s constantly pushing to merge the world of content creation with motorsport culture. At the heart of it all: family, racing, and a drive to keep getting better. You’ll find Nelson fine-tuning setups, managing racing content, and helping others experience the thrill of the track—both virtually and in person. His goal? To build something that fuels the next generation of racers and creators alike.

Max Schweid is a Toyota GR Cup North America driver and a Pro Member of The Chicane Club, now in his second season with the Club. He pilots the #98 car for RVA Graphics Motorsports with Speed Syndicate, representing Segra, the Official IT Partner of TRD.

Max has been a car kid for as long as anyone can remember. He completed the Lucas Oil Racing School at Sebring in 2020, then cut his teeth in Spec Miata and Spec MX-5, running NASA and SCCA events across the country before stepping up to GR Cup. His rookie season delivered a podium and a qualifying track record at Road America.

At 19, he balances a full race calendar with a full course load at the University of Central Florida. When he's not on track or in the classroom, he's fishing, diving, or turning laps on iRacing.

Max prepares for every GR Cup round at The Chicane Club, working through the car and the circuit on the sims with Greg and the coaching staff before he ever arrives at the track, and with the team on location on race weekends. He's building a career in motorsports, and he's doing it the way this club believes in: prepared, measured, and faster every time out.

"I had a great rookie season, including a podium and a qualifying track record at Road America. That success was possible because of the work we put in at The Chicane Club. I'm looking forward to building on what we achieved."

Rocco Pasquarella races the #5 KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Honda Civic Type R TCR in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and is a Pro Member of The Chicane Club, now in his second season with the Club.

Rocco came up through karting into Spec Miata and Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup before making the jump to IMSA in 2026, his first season in an endurance format and his first with KMW and co-driver Tim Lewis. He announced himself immediately: a front row start and a top six finish at Daytona in his series debut. At Watkins Glen in June he went from last to first after a post-qualifying penalty sent the car to the back of the grid, picking off the field over two hours to take his first IMSA win and move the #5 into the top four in the championship.

Off track, Rocco is 19, from Boca Raton, an Eagle Scout, and the founder of the NEXT LAP Foundation, which helps young people in Scouting find a path into motorsports.

Rocco prepares for every round at The Chicane Club, working through the circuit on the sims with Greg and the coaching staff before he ever arrives at the track, and with the team on location on race weekends. Most of the tracks on this year's calendar were new to him. The results say the preparation is working.

"Being a Pro Member with The Chicane Club has been an awesome privilege. Last year, the mindset, preparation, and simulator focus completely transformed my approach to race weekends. The results spoke for themselves, having strong performances at new tracks with minimal to no seat time. This season, I'm excited to keep raising the standard as I compete at new tracks where immediate performance is critical in the championship fight."

Colin Queen is the newest Pro Member of The Chicane Club. In 2026 he's racing the Michelin Le Mans Cup in an LMP3 prototype with 23Events Racing and returning to Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America with ANSA Motorsports for his second season in the Pro class.

He earned every step of it. Four years grinding on the UK's junior formula ladder, in GB3 and GB4, produced podiums, poles, and track records before he crossed into GT racing. He had two days in a Huracan before his first Super Trofeo race. His rookie season delivered multiple podiums, including one at the Lamborghini World Finals in Misano, and earned him a place in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Young Driver Program. He won the global shootout, and with it factory recognition and support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

The prototype program has gone the same way. On his Le Mans Cup debut at Barcelona he charged through the field to a podium while running one of the fastest race paces in the category. He won the next round at Paul Ricard with co-driver Giovanni Maschio.

Getting up to speed fast in a car you've barely driven is the skill that defines Colin's career so far, and it's exactly what the sim work at The Chicane Club is built for. He prepares for every round with Greg and the coaching staff, working through the car and the circuit before he ever arrives at the track, so that the first real lap isn't the first lap.

"I'm focused on what's ahead and I'm highly motivated to showcase both my sporting and technical capabilities."
